Cheerleaders vie for State Title in Charleston, WV

CHARLESTON, WV -

High kicks, flips and hair bows invaded the Charleston, WV Civic Center on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013. 

The West Virginia State High School Cheerleading competition took over the Civic Center, as thousands cheered on their area high schools.

24 teams in three divisions competed in floor and choreography routines.

"It's a neat experience," said West Virginia Secondary Schools Activities Commission's Assistant Executive Director, Kelly Geddis. "It's uplifting. These are athletes out here performing and it's a great day to come out to the Civic Center."

Logan High School took home the Class AAA crown.

Robert C. Byrd wins Class AA.

Clay-Battelle takes Class A title.
