UPDATE: Matewan teacher accused of sexual abuse turns self in to police

According to the West Virginia State Police, Jennifer Parsons has turned herself in to the Mingo County detachment of the State Police.

Parson is accused of sexual abuse by a parent, custodian or guardian.

UPDATE: Bar shut down by ABCA for 10 days while police investigate Huntington, WV shooting

The West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration (ABCA) is shutting down Shoop's Bar, the site of Friday morning's shooting, for ten days. 

A spokesman for the ABCA says the commissioner made the decision Friday afternoon to suspend the club's Class A private club license until Dec. 23.

The West Virginia Department of Transportation announced a plan to help residents of Madison Creek Road in Logan County, WV.

Many residents were stranded when Madison Creek Road suffered damage from a slip in the road.

Sissonville pipeline explosion survivor treats firefighters to party

Sue Bonham didn't waste any time hugging four firefighters from the Sissonville Volunteer Department Monday night.  Nearly one year ago, she said the four men saved her life.  "It will be a year on Wednesday at 12:41," Bonham said.
