Two men in Boyd County, KY are behind bars for shoplifting items to manufacture meth

BOYD COUNTY, KY -

A 30 year old man and his accomplice are behind bars after Boyd County, KY sheriff's deputies say they shoplifted items from a Walmart to manufacture meth.

According to a news release issued by Boyd County, KY sheriff's deputies, Jarred Binon shoplifted items from the Walmart on US 60 Saturday Dec. 14, 2013 to manufacture meth. He then attempted to return the items.

The incident took place around 6 p.m. in the evening according to the news release.

A loss prevention officer for Walmart notified sheriff's deputies.  Officers say they searched Binion's vehicle and found several items used to manufacture meth. Some of the items purchased by Binion were in his vehicle.

Binion also had a partner in the incident, Ernest Bloomfield. He shoplifted items and was arrested as well. Bloomfield was charged with shoplifting, public intoxication and menacing. According to the news release, Bloomfield used profanity and yelled at officers during questioning.
