PORTSMOUTH, OH -

The Scioto County Sheriff's Office is investigating an attempted murder. Sheriff Marty Donini said in a news release that his office received a 911 domestic call Sunday, Dec. 15, at a little after 11 a.m. Angela Shepherd, 42, is charged with one count of attempted murder.

When deputies arrived at the house in Portsmouth, they said they saw Shepherd's 13-year-old daughter. She had been stabbed one time in the back. The teen was taken to a Columbus Hospital where she was listed in stable condition on Monday.  Shepherd appeared in Portsmouth Municipal Court on Monday. Her bond was set at $100,000. She is next set to appear in court on Dec. 19.
