HUNTINGTON, WV -

On the heels from the success of a Conference USA East Title and a Military Bowl appearance on Friday, Dec. 27, senior defensive lineman James Rouse opted to return for a sixth season with the Thundering Herd program.

It wasn't an easy decision for Rouse.

"It was a tough decision because I work so hard to put myself in the situation I'm in. I didn't know if I wanted to try for the NFL or come back and do this again," said Rouse.

One of defensive teammates couldn't be happier for Rouse.

"For him to get to live it all again, that's what I'm most happy about," said senior linebacker Alex Bazzie.

James Rouse was always named team MVP during the team's end of the year banquet.
