HURRICANE, WV -

When you go out of town, your animals may act a little naughtier than usual. Now, businesses are offering technology that allows you to keep an eye on your furry friends.

The Pet Howliday Inn is an animal boarding business in Hurricane, WV that offers a phone application allowing pet parents to check in on their animals.

There is a camera in every room at the business that sends a feed to a computer and free app available on smart phones.

Erik Johnson owns the business and is a pet owner himself. He said he came up with the idea after feeling uneasy about boarding his own animals.

"I've had people say they feel worse about leaving their animal than their kid," said Johnson

The app is designed to put pet parents at ease, offering 24 hour surveillance for parents to make sure their animal is ok.

I also found a place in Nitro, called House of Hounds, that offers similar technology.
