HUNTINGTON, WV -

Detectives with the Huntington Police Department are searching for a woman who has been missing since Christmas Eve.

Detectives say Diane Lee Bess, 21, was last seen Tuesday, Dec. 24., leaving her home in the 200 block of Main Street in Guyandotte to go shopping.  Family members told authorities they had not heard from Bess since that day.

Bess is a light skin black female, 5'2" tall and weighs 120 pounds.  She has hazel eyes and light brown, shoulder-length hair. Detectives say Bess was wearing black sweat pants, a creme colored jacket with no hood and pink tennis shoes.

Detective John Williams said gathering as much information is key to finding Bess. "The best thing is to gather as much information as we can, again, information from the public, that's our biggest help in these instances. Other than where she left, she's not been seen since, no contact with family or friends."
