Firefighter Jonathan Boggs was directing traffic when he stopped a vehicle driven by Charles Pauley of Saint Albans, WV.  Pauley and Boggs argued for a short time before Pauley swerved to drive around Boggs.  Boggs' knee was hit with the bumper on his vehicle.  Another firefighter witnessed the event.

A deputy with the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office was near the scene and stopped Pauley's vehicle.  Pauley told the deputy his vehicle was overheating and leaking fluid and he was trying to keep his car from breaking down.

The deputy issued a citation to Pauley.  He was cited fro leaving the scene of a crash and reckless driving.
