Louisa, KY man turns self in on child porn charges

LOUISA, Ky. -

Sheriff Garrett Roberts says a 68-year-old man turned himself in on child porn charges Monday. 

Edgar Purdom, Jr., of Louisa, is charged with four counts of distributing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor and one count of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, according to Sheriff Roberts. 

The sheriff says Purdom turned himself in at 4 p.m. Monday and was taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center were he later posted bail. The sheriff says Purdom was indicted last week after being investigated by the Kentucky Attorney General's Cyber Crimes Unit. The sheriff says the case is now in the hand of the Attorney General.
