Friday morning, West Virginia American Water issued a Do Not Drink/Limited Contact order for customers in Buffalo, Frazier's Bottom, and Pliny. Officials say this is necessary after new sampling results indicate additional flushing and sampling is need in these areas.

According to a press release, new samples showed readings above 1 part per million from a fire hydrant on a dead-end water main in Buffalo. Those results were found while the company was investigating a customer complaint. Additional sampling is still required to exercise caution.
