Fire in Kanawha County, WV leaves family displaced

Crews are investigating a house fire in Kanawha County, WV.

According to dispatchers, it happened in the area of 1319 Johnson Road in Loudendale at 6:56 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25.

Dispatchers said the fire caused exposure problems, but crews were able to stop it from spreading.

No injuries were reported, however, the family living inside the home were displaced.

The American Red Cross were contacted to assist the family.

The cause of the fire is not yet known, however, the house is considered a total loss.

Several units responded to the scene, including the volunteer fire departments of Loudendale, Davis Creek, Alum Creek, Malden, as well as the Charleston Fire Department.
