UPDATE:

A murder suspect was in court Thursday in Charleston.

Jessica Wilson was charged with murder after deputies say she stabbed and killed 66-year-old Nancy Lynch.

On Thursday, April 10, Wilson was denied bond and was ordered to have a mental evaluation next month.

Timothy Shafer is also being charged in connection to the murder.  He will be in court on Friday, April 11, in front of Judge Duke Bloom.

Two people have now been charged with murder in the case of Nancy Lynch. 

Saint Albans investigators said Timothy Shafer is now charged with felony murder. Investigators said Jessica Wilson is also facing the same charges.

Two people were arrested after police located a car belonging to a murdered Saint Albans woman.

Timothy P. Shafer, 28, and Megan Hughes, 27 were both arrested after police found the couple in Nancy Lynch's 2008 Toyota Camry. 

Lynch's body was discovered on Jan. 27 and an autopsy showed that she was stabbed to death, according to a release from the Saint Albans Police Dept.

Police are not releasing anymore information regarding the stabbing.

During the investigation into Lynch's death, police discovered Lynch's jewelry and two cars were missing from the home.  The jewelry was found in a local pawn shop and was pawned by Hughes, according to the release.

Both of Lynch's vehicles were listed as stolen by police.  The Camry was found on Jan. 29 in Charleston and was being driven by Shafer.  Hughes was a passenger.  Shafer is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.  Hughes is charged with transferring or receiving stolen property.

Lynch's second car was found in Sissonville. Police are still investigating Lynch's death.

Both Shafer and Hughes are being held in the South Central Regional Jail.  Hughes' bond is $2,000.

Police have released the name of a woman who was found dead in Saint Albans on Jan. 26.

According to a release from the Saint Albans Police Dept., Nancy Burdette Lynch was found by acquaintances who were concerned that they hadn't heard from her.  

Currently, the death is being treated as suspicious.

Stephanie Ranson grew up with the victim.  She said she wished she would have checked on Lynch.

"I broke down. I've been up all night, wishing that I'd stopped more often," she said.

Lynch's body was taken to the medical examiner's office to determine the time and cause of death.

Crime scene tape still lines the house where authorities found the body of a woman late Sunday, Jan. 26 in St. Albans, WV.

Authorities say they are treating the death as suspicious but won't say how they believe she died.

Investigators confirm the victim is 66-years-old, but won't say if she is from the area.

They also won't say how long the body is believed to have been there. 

The woman's body has been taken to the state medical examiner's office.

Kanawha County Bureau of Investigations handled the evidence collection.
 
St. Albans police will be staged in front of the house until the crime scene tape comes down.

Police in St. Albans, WV say they are investigating a suspicious death in the 2300 block of Jefferson Avenue.

Investigators say they responded to a call of a death involving a female in her 60's on the evening on Sunday, Jan. 26. 

No additional details are being released at this time.

Police are continuing their investigation.
