    Alpha Natural Resources announced July 31 that 11 affiliated coal mines and other facilities in West Virginia could be idled by mid-October, potentially causing 1,100 to be laid off.

Near Herbert Hoover: 

Bus 1107 will not run Dodd Hill; will turn at rock quarry

 

Near Riverside:

Buses 1312, 1411 & 1303L will not run Dry Branch Hollow; students may catch bus at the mouth of the hollow on Cabin Creek

Buses 1402 & 1405 will not run Simmons Creek

Buses 1405 will not run Burning Springs Road - students may catch bus at mouth of hollow

Buses 1405, 1408 & 1302L will not run Dry Branch Hollow on Witcher Creek.Students may catch the bus at the cemetery.

Buses 1406 & 1301L will not run Springfield Dr. or Spring Fork Drive - students may catch bus at mouth of hollow

 

Near Sissonville:

Bus 1003 will not run Kayneva Lane

Bus 1005 will not run First creek

Bus 1005 will not run Second Creek

Bus 1008 will not run Grapevine

Bus 1010 will not go over Mt. Carmel (Flood Zone)

Bus 1012 will not run Holmes Hollow - will pick up at mouth of hollow

Bus 1014 will not go into Tolley Hollow - will pick up at Route 21

Bus 1016 & 1014 will not run left fork of Derrick's Creek: T/A.Golf Course

Bus 1016 will turn at the Church at the right hand fork of Derrick's Creek (Flood Zone)

Bus 717 will not run Mean's Ridge
