    The National Park Foundation awarded $504,000 in grants to 28 national parks across the United States and the Virgin Islands, including one in West Virginia, through its Park Stewards Program.

    The Mid-Ohio Valley Chapter of the West Virginia Master Naturalist program, in conjunction with Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park, is sponsoring a “Moth Watch” outing on Blennerhassett Island July 27. Participants will board the Island Belle sternwheeler at 7 p.m. for a river trip to the island.

    Nine Martinsburg, West Virginia, residents and another from Keyser were sentenced to federal prison for breaking the law while they were on supervised release or probation.

Marshall's Artist Series will host the Spring International Film Festival Feb. 7-13 at the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center. 
Featuring a diverse collection of six films, this week-long festival will have movies from Denmark, Israel, Japan, Canada, Cuba and the U.S.
The film schedule consists of: "A Royal Affair" (Denmark) Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 9 at 2:30 p.m. and Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m.; "The Flat" (Israel) Feb. 8 at 2:30 p.m., Feb. 9 at 5:30 p.m. and Feb. 10 at 5:30 p.m.; "Like Someone in Love" (Japan) Feb. 7 at 5:30 p.m., Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 12 at 7:30 p.m.; "War Witch" (Canada) Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 13 at 5:30 p.m.; "Una Noche" (Cuba) Feb. 8 at 5:30 p.m., Feb. 9 at 12:30 p.m. and Feb. 12 at 5:30 p.m.; "The Sessions" (USA) Feb. 8 at 12:30 p.m., Feb. 11 at 5:30 p.m. and Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m.
The Sessions will also screen simultaneously at the Grace Rardin Doherty Auditorium at the Huntington Museum of Art with narrative description for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. This screening will be free to the public.
Tickets are $7.50 per film. They may be purchased at the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center, advance tickets are not necessary.  Tickets go on sale 15 minutes prior to each film.
