    A Dayton, OH man is facing charges after a stabbing. Deputies tell us that a male victim was brought into the Southern Ohio Medical Center around 7 a.m. Thursday morning with a stab wound to his abdomen. The victim has been identified at Leo Buggs, 34, of Columbus, OH. He was then flown to Cabell-Huntington Hospital. Buggs underwent surgery and is listed in stable condition in ICU. A Moundsville man was convicted in U.S. District Court in Wheeling of illegally distributing prescription painkillers.

U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II said Rocci Wade, 59, was part of a five-person conspiracy that distributed oxycodone in the Moundsville area between 2010 and 2013.

Wade, in custody pending sentencing, faces up to 40 years in prison after being convicted of distribution of oxycodone and conspiracy. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed is based on the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Randolph J. Bernard and Robert H. McWilliams, Jr. and was investigated by the Marshall County Drug Task Force which includes officers and agents from the Moundsville Police Department, the Marshall County Sheriff's Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
