Retired Putnam County Circuit Judge James O. Holliday and Retired Wyoming County Circuit Judge John S. Hrko have temporarily been assigned to the Sixth Judicial Circuit.

The two will fill in for Cabell County Circuit Judge David M. Pancake, who resigned, effective Jan. 31, to spend more time with his family.

West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals Chief Justice Robin Davis recalled Holliday to serve through Feb. 18, with Hrko to take over beginning Feb. 19.

The temporary appointments will be in effect until Pancake's successor is appointed by Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin.
