A commercial airline pilot has been charged with crossing state lines to have sex with a 15-year-old girl.

U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II said Mustafa Momoun Bazbaz, 28, of Oakdale, Pa., is being held at the West Virginia Northern Regional Jail pending a detention hearing. Bazbaz was charged with travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.

Ihlenfeld said authorities believe Bazbaz began communicating with a 15-year-old female from Jefferson County, Ohio, in December via the website known as MeetMe.com, allegedly misrepresenting his age and sending sexually explicit images of himself to the girl before arranging to pick her up near her home and take her to a hotel room in Hancock County.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Hancock County sheriff's deputies conducted the investigation, with the prosecution handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert H. McWilliams Jr.
