University Place in Morgantown announced its first retail store to sign onto the project.

Sheetz will go in on the bottom floor of the apartment complex.

It will be the first Sheetz to offer groceries, and the first store in 32 years to not offer gas.

"In this particular project, because there was an opportunity to provide grocery as well. Now we have a handful of groceries in a typical place but nothing like what we will have in this University Place," said Louie Sheetz, of Sheetz.

"That's what's exciting because there's nothing else like it. And we're going to be the first like it, WVU is going to be the first ever grocery store, Made to order, with no gasoline. That's awesome. I can't even put into words because it's just so exciting to be a part of it," said Anthony Braxton, a WVU student.

University Place is already leasing for the Fall 2014 semester.
