A Michigan man who hid heroin in his backpack during a bus trip to Huntington has been sentenced to nine years and three months in prison, U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin said.

Goodwin said Darius Lajuan Kincannon, 30, of Redford, arrived in Huntington in February 2013 on a Greyhound bus.

The backpack contained, among other things, roughly 510.6 grams of heroin and a 16 ounce bottle of Superior Inisotal, a common cutting agent for heroin, Goodwin said. Huntington police seized it at the Greyhound station and charged Kincannon, who pleaded guilty, to possession with intent to deliver 100 grams or more of heroin.
