According to Fire Chief Scott Beckett of the City of Logan Fire Department, a fire was reported at 3:14 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at a two-story duplex at 553 Dingess Street.

Chief Beckett says everyone safely got out of the duplex, however, Lt. Michael Beckett, Chief Beckett's brother, while fighting the fire on the second floor, fell down to the concrete steps after the balcony collapsed.
