Man arrested twice in four hours in South Charleston, WV

A man was arrested twice within four hours by the same police officer in South Charleston, WV.

According to the South Charleston Municipal Court, Cornell Johnson, 30, was arrested at 11:43 p.m. Monday, March 17, in the area of Route 60 Eastbound on MacCorkle Avenue in South Charleston for DUI, speeding at 55 mph in a 40 mph zone, and driving with a revoked driver's license.

Johnson was arrested by Cpl. J.F. Amburgey Jr. with the South Charleston Police Department.

Johnson was released on a PR bond.

However, Johnson was arrested again at 3:41 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, again by Cpl. Amburgey, in the area of the 56 mile marker of I-64 Westbound in South Charleston for DUI, speeding at 84 mph in a 60 mph zone, and driving with a revoked driver's license.

Johnson was taken to the South Central Regional Jail, but was released on a $500 cash bond at 12 p.m. Tuesday, March 18.
