Brian Woerner, chairman of the Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at West Virginia University, has won a five-year reappointment to his post.

He earned a bachelor's degree in computer and electrical engineering from Purdue University in 1986. His master's degree and Ph.D., both in electrical engineering systems, came from the University of Michigan. In 1992, he completed another master's degree, in public policy, also from University of Michigan.
