Police made 16 arrests on Thursday, March 27, after conducting a warrant sweep in Kanawha County, WV.

According to a news release issued by the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office, the warrants related to domestic violence and family court law violations were the main concern, however, police arrested anyone they could locate who had an active warrant.

The people arrested include:  

-Tiffany Shaffer, 24, of Charleston-Charged with operating a drug lab.

-Dencialla Derrix, 50, of Belle-Had a warrant on a controlled substance charge.

-Steven Peay, 61, of Sissonville-Had a capias on a domestic battery charge.

-Jeffery Hall, 39, of Cross Lanes-Charged with failure to pay child support. 

-Dexter Conrad, 47, of Charleston-Charged with failure to pay child support.  

-Nicole Higginbotham, 36, of Belle-Had a circuit court capias on the charge of burglary and grand larceny.

-Leonard Flack, 59-Had a circuit court capias on the charge of failing to register as a sex offender.

-Douglas Pauley, 48, of St. Albans-Charged with failure to pay child support.

-Daimeyon Smith, 31, of Dunbar-Charged with failure to pay child support.  

-James Dickens, 49, of Belle-Charged with failure to pay child support.

-Dallas Dayhaw, 33, of Marmet-Charged with failure to pay child support.

-Timothy Sands, 38, of Winifrede-Charged with failure to pay child support.

-Jackson Brannon, 46, of Charleston-Had a warrant on a domestic battery charge.

-Christopher Cavender, 29, of Charleston-Charged with failure to pay child support.

-Elizabeth Beasley, 47, of Charleston-Charged with failure to pay child support.

-Terry Lucas, 42, of Charleston-Charged with failure to pay child support.

 

The news release says this warrant sweep was conducted by both the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office and the United States Marshals Service, who regularly partner to apprehend fugitives in the area.
