CHARLESTON, WV (AP) -

Private non-profit organizations in West Virginia have one month to apply for disaster loans stemming from the severe weather over the summer.

The U.S. Small Business Administration has set an April 28 deadline to apply for the economic injury disaster loans related to the June 13 severe storms and flooding.

The storms in mid-June caused flooding, landslides and mudslides.

Officials say the loans of up to $2 million are available to non-profits in Mason and Roane Counties. Eligible entities include food kitchens, homeless shelters, schools and museums, among others.

Applicants may apply online through the website https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela
