MARTINSBURG, WV -

Dr. Phillip Aguila, Dr. Feroz Noori , Candace Wood, Theresa Eversole, Ashley Lentz, Jacinta Fisher and Angel Tith of University Pulmonary Medicine Associates were among those recognized recently by University Healthcare Physicians.

Dr. Konrad C. Nau, CEO of UHP, presented Martinsburg-based University Pulmonary Medicine Associates and two of the company's other clinics with awards based on satisfaction scores from patients.

Staff members and physicians from University Pulmonary Medicine Associates won the company's first-ever "Above and Beyond" award for achieving the highest patient satisfaction scores throughout all of the UHP clinics.

The practice's scores rank in the top quartile nationally.

Also honored were University OB/GYN Associates, in Martinsburg, and University Urgent Care — Charles Town. Each won "Rising Star" awards for improving patient satisfaction scores over the past six months.

UHP partners with Press Ganey, an independent patient satisfaction company that has been in business for more than 25 years, to conduct patient surveys. Confidential patient satisfaction surveys are mailed to a random selection of patients who receive healthcare in a UHP clinic. Scores are compiled once a statistically significant number of surveys have been received.

Press Ganey partners with more than 10,000 health care organizations nationwide.

Formed in early 2013, UHP is a multi-specialty physician group that employs more than 60 healthcare providers in 19 medical offices and hospitals in both Berkeley and Jefferson counties. UHP also has more than 140 staff members.
