Curtis Fleming, host of the Outdoor Channel's Fly Rod Chronicles and a Bridgeport native, visited WVU today.

He shared an episode of the show featuring Shaver's Fork, a Randolph County stream, restoration project.

WVU's College of Agriculture and the West Virginia DNR worked together to restore Shaver's Fork.

Fleming also donated fly rods to members of the newly formed WVU Fly Fishing Club.

"Whenever our show comes on we're in 40 million homes and I love that I can say I'm a West Virginian. And I love to show off what we have in the state so to know that these kids at WVU have started a fly fishing team and they're going to be fishing in our state, it's a humbling and great feeling," said Fleming.

But the visit wasn't just about fly fishing. Trout Unlimited gave each student on the team a free one year membership to help continue conservation programs in the state.
