Several accidents, mudslide, and high water reported in Kanawha County, WV

There were several accidents reported throughout Kanawha County Saturday, along with a mudslide, and reports of high water.

According to dispatchers, there were no reported injuries in most of the accidents, except for a vehicle rollover accident at the 53 mile marker of I-64 in Dunbar that occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m., which sent at two people to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Dispatchers say a mudslide caused a road closure for nearly two hours in the area of MacCorkle Avenue Southeast at Sadler Drive in Crown Hill, which occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. The mudslide caused a tree to go across a power line. No injuries were reported. The road has since re-opened.

There were also several reports of high water, in the areas of Pentacre, Crown Hill, Dunbar, and the West Side in Kanawha County Saturday evening, as well as at the 2100 block of Greenbrier Street in Rutledge, in which water from a creek reportedly came out onto the roadway. Dispatchers say there were never any road closures due to the high water, and all water levels have since subsided.
