The Harrison County Sheriff's Department has arrested a newlywed couple on first degree murder charges.

Shane Andrew Miller, 21, and Tracy Renee Miller aka Tracy Boals, 19, both of Lumberport, are charged with the first degree murder of Darrell Golden, 58, who was reported missing on March 17. His body was later found in the Margaret community in Harrison County on March 20. Golden's body was found near a large water impoundment off of Jones Run, and evidence obtained indicated that Golden's body had been dragged from the roadway to the current location, near the water's edge.

The investigation revealed that Golden had been dragged down the hill by his feet, and shoe tracks at the scene indicate at least two people participated. Shane Miller and Golden were suspects in a breaking and entering at the Blue Bird Store in Clarksburg on March 13. Clarksburg Police told the sheriff's department that it was believed Golden's disappearance was connected to the breaking and entering, according to court documents. Law enforcement received tips on March 21 indicating that Shane Miller and a woman were involved in Golden's death. A statement was provided that indicated Shane Miller was heard talking about killing Golden and disposing of his body, alleges the complaint filed by Sgt. Robert Waybright, II.

The Millers are believed to have beaten Golden with beer bottles, then Shane Miller held Golden's body down while Tracy Miller held his head down in the water until he drowned, according to the complaint. The couple left their bloody clothes near the scene and then attempted to wash the inside of Shane Miller's car to remove blood that was inside.

The State Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy and found several wounds to Golden's face and body, none of which are believed to be fatal, but would have made Golden unconscious, said investigators.

Shane and Tracy Miller are each charged with first degree murder and are being held in North Central Regional Jail.
