Police arrested a man and detained a teenager during a traffic stop in Madison, WV.

According to a news release issued by the West Virginia State Police, the WV State Police Criminal Patrol and Madison State Police Units conducted a traffic stop at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 3 on US 119 near Six Mile Road. 

The news release says that during the traffic stop, police seized from the vehicle a large quantity of marijuana, as well as an unknown amount of cash, and a loaded .380 caliber handgun, that was reported stolen by the Charleston Police Department.

Police arrested the driver, Timothy John Boone, and he was taken to the Southwestern Regional Jail, where he is being held on a $60,000 bond.

According to the news release, a 16-year-old male juvenile from Charleston, WV was detained and taken to a juvenile correction center.

Charges are not yet known.

The investigation is ongoing.
