    Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced the selection of Dan Dessecker, director of conservation policy for the Ruffed Grouse Society, to the national advisory committee for implementation of the National Forest System Land Management Planning Rule.

MORGANTOWN, WV -

Bob Orndorff Jr. and Sister Janice Landwehr are among the new members of the board of directors of Philanthropy West Virginia.

Orndorff works as Dominion's managing director for state and local government affairs. As such he is the primary contact for the company's corporate giving program, and state and local government affairs. 

A former board member of Leadership West Virginia, he also served on Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin's Marcellus Task Force and the West Virginia Compressed Natural Gas Vehicle Task Force. 

Landwehr serves as co-executive director for the Sisters of St. Joseph Health and Wellness Foundation. She is a past member of the board of directors for St. Alphonsus Youth Center and St. John's Home for Children in Wheeling.

She has been a member of the congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph for 49 years and has served for many years in multiple capacities as an educator in the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston and with the Samaritan House Alternative Education Program. 

Others joining the board include: chairwoman Christina Matlick, executive administrator of the Mylan Charitable Foundation; vice chairwoman Carla Parsons, trust officer of the Hott & Brown Foundations; secretary Susan Landis, executive director for the Beckley Area Foundation; treasurer Tres Ross, executive director, The Ross Foundation; past immediate chairman Tom Tinder, executive director, the West Virginia Bar Foundation; and Paul D. Daugherty, president and CEO.

Founded in 1993, Philanthropy West Virginia serves West Virginia's corporate foundations/giving programs as well as family, private and community foundations, and private philanthropists; in all more than 70 giving programs and foundations.
