BETHANY, WV -

Bethany College has presented its Bill Esposito Award for 2014 to Candace Pacheco. The Eastern College Athletic Conference Sports Information Directors Association presents the award to a graduating college senior planning to pursue a career in athletic communications.

The award, presented yearly since 1996, is named to honor the memory of Bill Esposito, who served as the sports information director at St. John's University in New York for 25 years.

Pacheco, who is from Fall River, Mass., has worked in sports information at Bethany since 2010.

She will be honored along with the organization's other award winners during the ECAC-SIDA Annual Workshop, set for June 24-27 in Troy, N.Y.
