Attorney Joseph Budd has joined the law firm Bowles Rice. He will focus his practice in energy law and real estate law in the firm's Southpointe, Pa., office.

Budd in 2013 earned his law degree from the Duquesne University School of Law, where he was president of the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. He earned his bachelor of science degree in finance from The Pennsylvania State University in 2006.

Prior to joining Bowles Rice, he worked as an attorney at a Mt. Lebanon, Pa., law firm, conducting due diligence research covering thousands of parcels of land throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio.

Besides its offices in Charleston and Southpointe, Bowles Rice has locations in Martinsburg, Morgantown, Moundsville, Parkersburg, Lexington, Ky., and Winchester, Va. The firm has a staff of 140 attorneys.
