Huntington housing complex manager admits embezzling more than $150,000 in federal funds

A 51-year-old Ohio woman has pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $150,000 in federal funds from a Huntington public housing complex she managed.

U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin said Connie Lynn Whitley, a resident of South Point, admitted she took the money from the Uptowner Inn's HUD accounts during a period of nearly four years before she was caught in September. She faces up to 10 years in prison at her sentencing, which is set for July 28.

West Virginia State Police assisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department for Housing and Urban Development investigated the theft
