    A Dayton, OH man is facing charges after a stabbing. Deputies tell us that a male victim was brought into the Southern Ohio Medical Center around 7 a.m. Thursday morning with a stab wound to his abdomen. The victim has been identified at Leo Buggs, 34, of Columbus, OH. He was then flown to Cabell-Huntington Hospital. Buggs underwent surgery and is listed in stable condition in ICU.  The annual rankings of the best high schools in America from U.S. News & World Report included 29 schools in West Virginia this year.

The 2013 rankings came after 31,242 U.S. public high schools. Seven West Virginia schools earned silver medals and 22 schools received bronze medals. To be eligible for a state ranking on the list, a school must be awarded a national gold or silver medal.

The top-ranked West Virginia schools on the list are as follows:
  • George Washington High School, Charleston
  • Morgantown High School, Morgantown
  • Bridgeport High School, Bridgeport
  • Hurricane High School, Hurricane
  • Fairmont Senior High School, Fairmont
  • Jefferson High School, Shenandoah Junction
  • Nitro High School, Nitro
According to U.S. News & World Report, other notable schools that received bronze medals are as follows:
  • Buffalo High School, Buffalo
  • East Hardy High School, Baker
  • Greenbrier East High School, Lewisburg
