Drug take back event scheduled in Saint Albans, WV

SAINT ALBANS, WV -

A National Drug Take Back event will be hosted at the Saint Albans Police Dept. located at 51 Sixth Avenue.

People can bring any unused, unwanted or expired medications. The medications can be prescription, over the counter or for pets.

The department wants to reminded people that they can’t accept needles for collection. Liquid medicines are accepted if they are in the original container.

The event is on Sat., April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The department will be collecting old cell phones for the Cells to Soldiers cause. The phones are recycled and or sold to buy phone cards for deployed soldiers. The phones do not need to work.

They will also offer a shredding service. Shredding is only for paper and can’t be in binders.

There will also be a child safety seat inspection area where you can have a trained professional inspect if your seat is installed correctly.
