Adventures on the Gorge has whitewater rafting and other outdoor adventures down pat.

But when the Lansing resort needed help spreading its message across digital media, it turned to a Nashville company with a satellite office in Williamstown — Paramore.

Paramore will provide AOTG with a variety of digital development projects. The announcement of the partnership came in April.

West Virginia, especially the Fayette County area of the Mountain State, is well known for its tourism offerings in rafting, hiking, camping, kayaking, biking, paintball and most recently ziplining. AOTG was named one of the “Best Adventure Travel Companies on Earth” in a 2009 National Geographic adventure survey, in addition to other recognitions by national and international publications.

“Paramore is pleased to have the opportunity to work with Adventures on the Gorge on all of their digital media efforts,” said Buddy Butler, business development director at Paramore’s Williamstown office. “From website design and development to digital and social media campaigns, we are committed to helping AOTG reach their target audiences and communicate the great brand that they have built.

“The AOTG leaders are smart, savvy marketers who challenge us and drive us to deliver effective solutions.”

Brian Campbell, AOTG vice president of marketing, said keeping a business’ website and digital marketing plan current is more important now than ever.

“Technology and industry best practices change so fast that it takes a full time commitment to keep a competitive advantage,” Campbell said. “We don’t have the time to stay current. We have crafted a unique relationship with Paramore where they sit down with us multiple times per year in person as we make our long range plans.

“We also have weekly planning update meetings to make sure our projects are staying on track and that we are getting the most out of our relationship.”
