People whole travel Heizer Creek Road in Putnam County, WV are begging for help. Some fear for the safety of their loved ones.

Jackie Creasey said he has reported two road slips to the Division of Highways. He said so far the slips have not been repaired. Creasey said he is especially concerned about the safety of his children who have to ride a school bus past both slides.

"If a bus goes over the hill you have a bunch of dead kids," Creasey said. "That is all there is to it."

Motorists have to go past the slides one at a time.

"Somebody is going to get killed if they don't get them straightened up," said motorist Eddie Null. "When you meet a car head on you don't know what is going to happen."

West Virginia Division of Highways spokesperson Carrie Bly said, "While information on the slides has been turned over to our Design Department, there are no current plans for repair."

She said maintenance crews are monitoring the slides and have put signs in the area to alert motorists.

When asked about the safety of school buses and other larger vehicles traveling past the slide Bly said "at this time, we feel that the road is safe for large vehicles to travel over."
