CHARLESTON, WV -

A police pursuit crossing two Ohio counties ended when the suspect driver crashed and severely injured both people inside.

The pursuit began when Holly K. Rose was seen purchasing items that are used to make methamphetamines and police discovered she had a warrant for her arrest.

Officers with the Gallipolis City Police Dept. attempted to pull Rose’s vehicle over but she fled at high-speeds onto State Route 7. The officers radioed ahead to other units to warn them about the pursuit.

Rose’s vehicle was spotted by the Ohio State Highway Patrol on SR-7 near mile marker 27. They pursued the car into Meigs County and onto Stories Run Road. About 10 miles into the pursuit Rose lost control of the car and hit two trees on Jessie Creek Road.

Rose and her passenger, Richard E. Camp, were both flown to Cabell County Hospital. Police say that neither of the two was wearing a seat belt.

The Gallipolis City Police Department will handle charges stemming from the incident while the Ohio State Highway Patrol will handled the pursuit and crash.
