Sexual assault allegations at Burch Middle School in Mingo County, WV
Mingo County school officials systematically covered up allegations of sexual abuses and assaults at Burch Middle School by two boys whose relatives are allegedly board employees, according to an injunction filed in Mingo County Circuit Court Thursday, May 8 by Attorney General Patrick Morrisey.

Huntington police say a high school student has been charged with making a terroristic threat.

Teens weigh in on price of prom
The price of a ticket to their prom is $45 per person, which is $90 a couple.  Other schools in the area charged similar fees for prom tickets in 2014. Cabell Midland High School, Huntington High School and Nitro High School charged student $25 per ticket.

Record amount of million dollar tickets sold by the West Virginia Lottery
In the nearly 30 years of the West Virginia Lottery, there has never been a year like this.  Five months into the year and the state has already doubled the amount of million dollar winners they had last year. In fact, this year already, the state has had their most million dollar winners.

ATV safety programs looking to continue giving off strong results
In 2006, the Mountain State saw it's worst year ever in ATV deaths with 54. Although the trend remained high the next several years, there has been optimism recently as the death toll has dropped significantly due to educational programs such as ASI Rider Course training.
