Two flown to hospital after two vehicle accident in Logan County, WV

Three people were treated after a collision between a Ford truck and Polaris RZR.

Logan County Sheriff's Deputies reported that the driver of the truck tried to avoid hitting the UTV after it entered the south bound lane of Route 119 near Holden, but was unable to stop.

The driver of the truck, Thurmond Lee, 61, of Chapmanville, WV, was taken to Logan Regional Medical Center. Deputies tell us he was treated for minor injuries and was released.

The driver of the UTV, Robert Farley, Jr., 22 of Whitman, WV, was flown to St. Mary's Hospital. Deputies tell us he sustained critical injuries in the crash.

A 14-year-old passenger on the UTV was taken to Logan Regional Medical Center by ambulance. He sustained critical injuries and was flown to CAMC General for treatment.

The accident remains under investigation by Logan County Sheriff's Deputies.



Crews responded to a two vehicle accident involving an ATV and a truck in Logan County, WV.

Dispatchers say it happened just before 6 p.m. Wednesday on Route 119 southbound at the Whitman junction.

One person was driven to a hospital, while another person was flown to a hospital. Their injuries are not yet known.

Dispatchers say the roadway was shut down, but has since re-opened.

The cause of the accident is not yet known.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
