Several vehicle accidents reported in Kanawha County, WV

CHARLESTON, WV -

Several vehicle accidents were reported in Kanawha County, WV.

One accident involved a single vehicle that occurred shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday, May 15, which closed Delaware Avenue at Washington Street West on Charleston’s West Side for several hours.  This was due to transmission lines that were knocked down during the accident.  No injuries were reported.  The roadway was re-opened shortly before 9:30 p.m.

Dispatchers say another accident involving three vehicles occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. in the area of Sand Plant Road and Corridor G South in Alum Creek. According to dispatchers, one of the vehicles went over a hill.  No one was injured, and no roads were shut down.

Another accident occurred shortly after 4 p.m. involving two vehicles in the area of Patrick Street and 6th Avenue in Charleston.  Dispatchers say there were no injuries or road closures in this accident.

According to dispatchers, crews responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of 8995 Cabin Creek Road in the area of Ohley, which occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m.  Dispatchers say the vehicle hit a utility pole.  Cabin Creek Road in the area of the accident was shut down, but later re-opened.

Due to the weather, which was going on during all of these accidents, drivers were being asked to drive carefully.
