CHARLESTON, WV -

A young child was found wandering Charleston’s west side and led police to a home that was later deemed "unfit" by city officials.

City officials declared the home "unfit" due to infestation and unsanitary conditions.  Child Protected Services is on scene and investigation.  The children are being released to family members.

No charges have been filed at this time.

A passerby spotted the child near J.E. Robbins Elementary.  When police responded to the call, they found three children, all appearing to be under the age of four, outside alone.

The home is located on the corner of Beech and Garvin streets.
