The Jackson County Sheriff's Office in Ohio is investigating stolen goods that were found in an abandoned home along Jefferies Lane in Wellston.

According to Sheriff Tedd Frazier the merchandise was recovered in a burnt out home that had the driveway concealed with several trees. Deputies recovered two four wheelers that were stolen in Jackson, a canoe, two utility trailers, and a pick-up truck owned by Rhino Sands Hill Mining, LLC that was stolen the night before. There have been no arrests, but police are looking into potential suspects.

Deputies also say the site was littered with old car parts, tires, trash, and an old safe that no longer had a door, and is believed to have been a chop shop with stolen items that they were cutting down to sell for scrap.

Anyone with information are asked to contact the Jackson County Sheriff's Office at (740)-286-6464
