LOGAN COUNTY, WV - Fire crews responded to a fire in Logan County, WV.

According to Fire Chief Steven Stone of the Main Island Creek Volunteer Fire Department, who responded to the scene, the call came in at around 1 p.m. in the area of 13080 Jerry West Highway at Sarah Ann.

Stone says what was initially an unoccupied house fire spread to a trailer, occupied by one man, who safely escaped the trailer, as well as spread to an RV.

Two firemen were taken to a hospital, one to be treated for minor burns who was later released, while the other was admitted to the Logan Regional Medical Center to be treated for shortness of breath.  No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is not yet known, however, Stone says the house, trailer, and RV are a total loss.

The WV State Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate.

The roadway in this area was shut down, but later re-opened.  Stone says downed power lines also caused problems for fire crews trying to get to the fire.

Along with the Main Island Creek Volunteer Fire Department, the Cora and Verdunville volunteer fire departments responded to the scene.

The scene was cleared at 5:25 p.m.
