CHARLESTON, WV - A City of Charleston employee is in some hot water as he's accused of dozens of thefts in the South Hills area.

Christopher Derrick of Sissonville has been arrested for felony grand larceny.

His arrest stems from the theft of a statue on the 1800 block of Loudon Heights back in April.

Police say he kept a notebook of all the things he stole.

"He's very organized with his thievery and we recovered numerous items and we anticipate lots of charges coming his way and lots of victims having their items returned to them," said Lt. Steve Cooper, Chief of Detectives at the Charleston Police Department.

At the time of his arrest Derrick was employed in the Charleston City Parks and Recreation department.
