UPDATE: Man arrested in connection to robbery at Charleston Foodland

CHARLESTON, WV - UPDATE:

According to the Charleston Police Department, Yul "Scamp" Carter is behind bars for breaking his federal supervised release.  Police also say he will be charged in connection to Monday's Foodland robbery.

Carter entered the Spring Street store with a gun and demanded money. The clerk gave him the entire cash drawer.

Carter is being held in the South Central Regional Jail without bond.

Metro 911 dispatchers confirm that Charleston police responded to a robbery at the Foodland grocery store at 10 Spring Street on Monday, June 9. 

The original call came in just after 9 p.m. Police have not released details.

Several units responded to the scene and K-9 units were also called to the scene.  Police have not released details on the suspect or suspects they may be looking for.
