HUNTINGTON, WV - A powerful storm blew through Cabell County, West Virginia and the Tri-State area in a few minutes, and the damage will take days to clean up.

On Tuesday night after the storm, emergency vehicles, with lights and sirens on, snaked through Huntington, West Virginia responding to calls of down trees, down power lines and windows that were either blown out or broken by debris.

Residents on Huntington's west side say the storm "whistled" through their neighborhood,.  They also reported hearing loud bangs when transformers popped, and when a sign blew over in front of Advance Auto Parts on Washington Avenue.

We took several calls from viewers believing they had seen a funnel cloud in the Spring Valley area. We expect to find out more on Wednesday about what kind of severe weather event this was.

Power outages have been reported throughout the Tri-State area, from Blaine, Kentucky to Logan, West Virginia.
