MAYSEL, WV - A former Clay County, West Virginia elementary school teacher is behind bars after being arrested on drug charges.

Melissa Koch and her friend, Jeremy Gray were taken into custody Tuesday around 9 p.m.

Troopers said when they arrived at Koch's home on Blue Knob Road in Maysel, West Virginia, Koch was caught in the act of doing drugs. Troopers said Koch was selling meth out of her home, adding that she gave them a full confession.

Workers with Child Protective Services were called to assist with the arrest, because Koch has a small child in her care.

Both Koch and Gray are charged with two counts each of possession with intent to deliver, Koch for methamphetamine and Gray for methamphetamine and Oxycontin.
