Firefighters rescue three men trapped under tree in Logan County, WV

Three men were rescued after being trapped under a fallen tree in Logan County, WV.

According to a news release issued by the Henlawson Fire Department, they responded to a call of a fallen tree caused by severe weather in the area of Big Valley Road at Pecks Mill at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday, June 10.

When they arrived on the scene, they found three men were trapped underneath the tree, which they were trying to run from to avoid it falling on them.

The news release says firefighters spent over an hour trying to get the men out from underneath the tree.

All three were taken to Logan Regional Hospital with various injuries.  

Their conditions are not yet known. 

According to the news release, the quick response of the Henlawson Fire Department was credited to the quick removal of the three men.
