CHILLICOTHE, OH - Ohio State Highway Patrol say that 60-year-old Paul G. Haas of Bainbridge on his 2004 Harley Davidson Motorcycle was killed after being thrown from the motorcycle.

The accident happened just before 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 16.

According to a press release issued by the Ohio Highway State Patrol, Haas was trying to negotiate a curve in the westbound lanes of Falls Road and lost control. His motorcycle went off the road and Haas crashed into a utility pole.

Local residents came to the aid of Haas after the crash occurred and gave him CPR. However, they were not successful. Haas was taken to Adena Greenfield hospital where he died as a result of his injuries, according to the same press release.

Haas was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
